Job Description:

Responsible for leading and managing various components of the Information Security program (ISPO). Challenges and engages the organization to balance business needs with the effective management of information risk aligned with the changing and dynamic risk landscape for financial services institutions. Presents innovative solutions and alternatives to business problems through engagement of collaborative and creative thinking outside the boundaries of existing practices and mindsets. Develops and coaches’ teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manage risk within the teams you oversee.

Responsibilities:

+ Identifies Information Security risks and requirements including, but not limited to, business partner agreements, policy and procedures, and third-party agreements.

+ Routinely interfaces and maintains good working relationships with business partners, compliance, law, human resources, experts in the field, and other key stake holders.

+ Organizes and leads working sessions and governance meetings to ensure compliance with the Information Security program.

+ Keeps abreast of regulatory environment-covering Information Security related requirements.

+ Develops Information Security employees and team. Creates a positive and engaged work environment by building trust and empowering and motivating team members. Develops, promotes, and maintains collaborative working relationships among team members and proactively addresses potential issues/conflicts. Mentors, develops, and trains new and existing employees, leading by example and demonstrating best practices. Proactively coaches employees and finds both formal and informal opportunities to share experience, expertise and knowledge.

+ Develops and maintains Information Security policies, standards, and procedures.

+ Assists in the overall development of the Information Security risk management program.

+ Identifies critical areas of potential Information Security risks and opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Information Security

+ 4+ years of experience in Information Security, IT security, Financial Services Industry, or related field

+ In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of experience in Information Security, IT security, general management, Financial Services Industry, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

If we had our say, we’d also look for:

+ 1+ years of experience in people management

+ 6+ years of experience in Information Security risk, policies and standards, third-party risk, control implementation, or related field

+ CISSP, or related certification

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $88,500.00 to $149,300.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
