Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will be cross-trained in multiple areas, including operating drill presses, shear presses, punch presses, straightening presses, torches, overhead cranes, forklifts, CombiLifts, and saws. Responsibilities include loading and unloading machines, monitoring the machine during operation to ensure quality production, cleaning quench tanks, maintaining clean work areas, performing housekeeping duties, and using hand and power tools. You will also use an overhead crane to lift and move products. This role offers the opportunity for advancement to higher machine operator levels with increased pay rates and the potential to learn CNC machining. There is also room to grow within the company.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Crystal Lake, Illinois.

Work Environment

The work environment includes shifts across 1st (8AM – 4PM), 2nd (4PM – 12AM with $1.00 differential), and 3rd (12AM – 8AM with $2.00 differential) shifts. The starting wage is competitive, with the potential for raises as you advance in your role. The facility, comprising over 10 different buildings, is involved in heavy CNC machinery, forklifts, and cranes operations, and it can get very hot in summer due to heat from production. Measures like big garage doors and free Gatorade are in place to cool down the space. This role is based at 4700 Half Mile Rd. Crystal Lake, IL
