Responsibilities

 

We currently have a great opportunity available for a Sales and Operations Planning Analyst. The Analyst, Sales and Operations Planning is responsible for providing the data preparation and analysis for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes for the SAI region. This role will be responsible for the monthly S&OP data preparation, forecast development and critical analysis to facilitate an effective S&OP decision-making process.

This role will partner with the Manager, S&OP to manage the S&OP process for the Americas region while identifying and driving improvements to the Americas S&OP process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Support the Sales & Operations Planning process across the entire region, including USA and Canada.
a. S&OP Preparation
i. Drive the monthly S&OP data analysis process, including data gathering, generation and analysis of demand forecasts and gap analysis.
ii. Manage action plans, track issues and drive resolution for the monthly S&OP cycle reviews across the SAI product lines.
iii. Create, monitor and maintain key S&OP metrics and key performance indicators.
b. Demand Planning
i. Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Revenue Services and Finance to develop an agreed-upon customer PO forecast and demand plan for the region based on quantitative and qualitative information.
ii. Integrate new product introductions, product life cycle, promotions, and other product demand signals into the forecasts.
c. Reagent Lot Sequester Planning
i. Partner with inventory planning team to develop the demand and supply plan for sequestered lots of reagents using S&OP inputs for instrument placements.
ii. Create and enhance tools and processes that support the lot sequestering process and drive continuous improvement
2. Support S&OP improvements across the Americas
a. Leverage industry best practices to continually enhance and improve the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes across the Americas.
b. Build relationships within the regional organizations to collaborate on process improvements
c. Identify existing capabilities to enhance forecasting models and inputs to demand plan to support SAI's continued growth.
3. Perform ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling to support S&OP and demand and supply planning decision-making.
4. Perform Other Duties as assigned by leadership.
Percentage of Travel: 5%

 


Qualifications

 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field required. 2-5 years previous experience in S&OP and forecast development desired.
APICS/ ASCM /IBF certification preferred, not required.

knowledge of MRP and demand forecasting techniques and procedures.

Working knowledge with MS Dynamics and SAP preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes highly preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish a storyline, and draw valid conclusions to support data-driven decision-making.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also enjoying collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Excellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, follow up and attention to details.
