The team you will be a part of
Our Radio Development R&D Team is looking for motivated junior hardware engineers to be part of a team that is involved in the development, testing, and design maintenance of 5G/6G cellular base stations.
We are seeking engineers with up-to-date knowledge in cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML), Virtual Design & Simulations, Automation, Data Analytics, 3D modeling & thermodynamics, Gallium Nitride (GaN) Power amplifier (PA), sustainable energy savings and Cloud Computing enabling faster time to market and ultimate product quality, best in the industry.

What you will learn and contribute to
Our rotation program aims to provide engineers with comprehensive experience across several diverse domains, including design, testing, and design maintenance. This program is crafted to provide exposure to various facets of engineering before taking responsibility for a specific design area of product development.
The areas include hardware analog design, digital design, power amplifier design, power supply design, printed circuit board (PCB) design, digital pre-distortion design, mechanical design, Radio Frequency (RF) performance testing, over-the-air (OTA) testing, product maintenance, etc.
During product development, the candidate will be involved in all areas of design starting with architecture and requirement inputs to development for implementation. Designs will be evaluated for functional performance, signal integrity, and power supply sensitivity, and integrated into the final product by interfacing with all other design areas. You will participate in analysis and solving complex engineering problems.

Required skills:
BS or MS + 0 years in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical engineering with coursework in RF or Microwave technology preferred.
EE Majors: Operational knowledge of Digital, Analog, Power, and RF test equipment. Theoretical and practical understanding of basic RF engineering and general principles, including digital modulation and demodulation.
ME Majors: Theoretical and practical understanding of mechanical design as it pertains to housing electronics that will be deployed outdoors. This includes EMI containment, thermal management, and reliability in a harsh environment.
It would be nice if you also had:
Previous Nokia internship experience.
EE Majors:
Understand most aspects of RF performance testing including RF measurement techniques, tester automation implementation, tester calibration, and measurement uncertainties.
The ability to troubleshoot issues with tester setup, tester automation, and product design/assembly issues.
Experience with analytical simulation / analysis tools such as Matlab
Skilled in the following coding languages: Java, C/C++, Python
ME Majors:
Possess a basic proficiency in finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics simulation, and general engineering analysis.
Experience with CAD tools (preferably PTC Creo 6 or higher), thermal modeling simulation tools (preferably FloTherm XT), and FEA simulation tools (preferably ANSYS) is desired.
