Job Description SummaryThis role will support the financial close processes for the US, Cushman & Wakefield's non-brokerage businesses. They will own specific areas of the close and be a key resource to other groups within the organization. This role will have the opportunity to learn existing accounting processes and have a voice in recommending new redesigns and improvements to the SOX controls. This person will also be a change agent to help the Company's controllership function expand our non-brokerage businesses.

Responsibilities
Partner with FP&A and other stakeholders to drive effective coordination and communication throughout the monthly close process
Perform regular and recurring accounting functions requiring professional competency
Establish appropriate procedures for preparation of accounting records, research of transactions, and reporting
Prepare, review, and analyze journal entries to the general ledger for Cushman & Wakefield ensuring data integrity and accuracy
Listen, analyze, and work with other functions to propose entries that need to be made in areas where judgement is required
Review and approve work prepared by client accounting/finance teams and others around the organization
Ensure key internal controls and effective accounting policies are operating effectively
Research and respond to internal and external accounting/financial questions and resolve issues
Effectively utilize the Company's financial reporting tools (including Workday and HFM) to improve the efficiency of the monthly close processes
Be an enthusiastic ambassador of the company culture to support the continued integration of the legacy firms
Requirements
Bachelor's in Accounting
3+ years' experience in accounting or finance
CPA preferred
Experience with and fluent in accounting systems, Essbase, Excel, and data analysis
Experience in audit and/or execution of SOX Financial controls preferred
Strong written, comprehension and analytical skills
Detail oriented and thorough
Effective and efficient time management and organization skills
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Able to work in a high volume, dynamic, deadline driven environment while maintaining accuracy, coordinating, and performing multiple tasks simultaneously
Physical Requirements
Involves work of a general office nature; typically includes extended periods of sitting and/or operation of a computer for 8 hours or more a day
Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to write and type
Ability to speak clearly so others can understand you
Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented orally and in writing
Ability to communicate information and ideas in writing and orally so others will understand
Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, graphics, and computer displays
