Wieland is hiring an Outside Sales Representative. The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for increasing sales volume and active accounts by seeking out and establishing new business relationships. Additionally this role will maintain and grow relationships with key existing accounts. This position will report to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
This role will be fully remote. While this role is remote, frequent travel is required (Including in-person meetings, customer entertainment events, overnight stays, and participation in various regional/national trade shows and sales meetings). On rare occasion weekend travel may be required. 

 


Responsibilities

 

Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan for specified market segments
Conduct thorough market research to identify and qualify sales opportunities.
Outbound phone calls to set up virtual, and in person visits with leads and customers.
Continuously pursue and win new business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline to ensure a consistent sales funnel and predictable revenue stream.
Develop a complete understanding of all products and services provided by Wieland Metal Services.
Partner with customer service to provide accurate sales quotes for leads and key accounts.
Achieve agreed upon sales booking & billing targets on accounts within assigned markets.
Coordinate with management, inside sales, operations, and supply chain on material needs and sales order fulfillment.
Leverage CRM system to efficiently generate quotes, track won and lost deals, and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer contact information.
Provide real world data and market trends based upon industry knowledge and customer feedback.
Outside Sales Representative Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Business-related field preferred, but not required.
Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience preferred, preferably in metal sales.
Strong business acumen and understanding of financial metrics.
Strong customer service skills, including verbal and written communication.
Strong Computer skills, including Excel, ERP and CRM software. SAP preferred.
The individual must be a self-motivated and enterprising person with excellent organizational, time management, and negotiating skills.
Must be able to handle several tasks at one time and prioritize tasks to maximize efficiency.
Teamwork, strong communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
Previous experience managing a territory and growing sales volume & margin is expected.
Frequent travel is required. Including in-person meetings, customer entertainment events, overnight stays, and participation in various regional/national trade shows and sales meetings. On rare occasion weekend travel may be required.
