Schedule/Location:
This is a "flex" position with work from home days along with onsite days based at our Lake Forest corporate office.
Local Northern IL/Southeastern WI candidates only!
What you'll do in this role:
As an Associate Project Manager, you'll collaborate with management and team to ensure projects are successfully completed. Projects include but are not limited to new product/service deployment, process creation and improvement, documentation and system set-up. You will also ensure that all projects follow the Project Management Life Cycle, using the tools that are available in the Project Management Solution.
This important work includes:
Working with management and other team members on managing and coordinating 3-4 projects. Supporting the project within established budget and time frames to ensure desired project outcome.
Ensuring proper documentation is maintained for project scope, goals, milestones, tasks, required resources, risks, and schedules. Tracking project progress, prepare reports and organize & facilitate meetings. Reviewing information with manager for accuracy and comprehensiveness.
Working with direct manager to identify & resolve challenges interfering with project progress.
Communicating status of assigned projects to management on a regular basis. Ensuring business units are prepared for production rollout by coordinating with management and the training department as needed. Reporting on any variances to approved budget or goals for the project.
Acting as liaison between Technology, business departments, and vendors during project execution. Acting as a resource for project documentation, plans and reports.
Acting as a backup for the project management system as well as coordinating and maintaining project plans, resources, budgets, expenditures, equipment and information.
Maintaining working knowledge of Project Management techniques and industry standards.
What you'll need to join the team:
Bachelor's Degree in business, Operations or Related
1+ years' experience in Project Management, Operations or Related
Experience In Lieu of Education: 3+ years' experience in Project Management, Operations or Related - Minimum
Project Management tool experience. Microsoft Project Online and Project Web Access tools preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate and have high comfort level working with team members across the organization including the C-Suite.
Ability to commit to 40 hours per week during business operation hours, however, hours may be adjusted to support project and team requirements.
