Aerospace Business Units
Regal Rexnord Aerospace Solutions supplies engineered high performance spherical and cylindrical bearings, mechanical seals, gears and electrical components to the commercial air transport, regional aircraft, business aircraft, helicopter and military aircraft markets for use in engine systems, flight control systems, landing gear systems and airframe structures. Our aerospace bearing and seal products consist of rolling element airframe bearings and bearing tooling sold under the Shafer and Tri-Roller brand names, Teflon lined polymeric bearings sold under the Tuflite brand name, slotted entry, split ball and split race bearings sold under the PSI brand name, self-lubricating machinable lined bearings and coatings sold under the Rexlon brand name and mechanical seals sold under the Cartriseal brand name. Gears and electrical components sold under the Micro Precision brand name. Our global customer base includes all major engine and airframe OEMs, as well as major Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers to the engine and airframe OEM's and through our FAA approved repair stations we support major MRO and aircraft operators with repair and overhaul capabilities.

Brief Description
Aerospace Solutions, a leading supplier in the Aerospace industry, is seeking a Purchasing Manager for the Downers Grove facility reporting to the Plant Manager. This individual will provide strategic & tactical planning and execution in all purchasing functions, as well as an acting coach/player role with the team. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining a high-performance team focused on supplier performance through supplier selection, development and strategic initiatives to provide superior service levels at the lowest possible total cost to the organization.

Key Accountabilities
Provide direct leadership over a team of buyers who have responsibility for establishing and securing supply for all purchased products and services
Perform strategic sourcing, execution, supplier development and audit activities of buyers
Continuously improve and build standard work around all purchasing processes and activities
Ensure achievement of all key performance metrics in the supply chain: Safety (Environment), Delivery, Quality, Cost, Lead Times Reduction and Optimized Supply Base
Establish and maintain supplier OTD metrics
Ensure controls in place to meet inventory level targets/goals
Establish and maintain status (and funnel) of purchasing projects to reduce cost and improve supplier performance
Execute purchasing projects and actions to maximize cost out; while reducing purchase price variance (PPV)
Proactively collaborate with Aerospace and Corporate Supply Chain Teams in order to achieve goals and objectives
Work with Aerospace Solutions Supply Chain Team to establish, negotiate and develop/maintain long term agreements (LTA's)
Maintain supplier reviews of risk, capacity, cost and overall performance are performed in appropriate cadence
Job Requirements
Capabilities and Success Factors
Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or technical field
5+ years experience in Purchasing, Materials Management, Supply Chain
3 years of leadership/supervisory experience
Ability to support 10% - 15% travel
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Supply Chain Certification - CPSM /CPM /CPIM /CSCP is a plus
Demonstrated supplier management skills
Demonstrated negotiation skills
Demonstrated team collaboration skills
Ability to implement visual controls and understanding of lean manufacturing
ERP/MRP and business system expertise
Ability to analyze strategic options and impact on the organization
Project management and problem solving skills
Driven to continuously improve
Experience in supplier selection, management and development of suppliers
Ability to perform audits and determine corrective actions required by suppliers
Experience in contract management, LTA's and negotiations to drive cost and performance improvements
Other responsibilities associated with supply chain management
