Position Description:
Ryerson has an opportunity for a Senior Benefits Analyst in our Chicago or Lisle office. As a Senior Benefits Analyst, you are responsible for maintaining and administrating Ryerson's benefits programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Manages the administration of the company's US benefit plans and programs in accordance with applicable plan documents and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
* Provides input into the design of new programs and develops associated policies and procedures.
* Acts as project manager for Open Enrollment, including coordination with vendors, developing written communications, and scheduling employee information sessions.
* Responds to day-to-day employee inquiries accurately using strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
* Manages administrative processes related to 401k and pension plans.
* Prepares data/reports for plan audits, non-discrimination testing, and 5500 submissions.
* Establishes and maintains effective relationships with benefit plan carriers and vendors to ensure performance is maintained or exceeded.
* Coordinates communication of benefit information to human resources, managers, and employees.
* Designs and maintains benefit dashboards. Assists in completing a variety of benefit data analyses, program usage, and effectiveness reviews.

Position Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Management preferred.
* 3-5 Years of benefits administration experience.
* Working knowledge of federal laws and regulations regarding benefits and other Human Resources regulations a plus.
* Experience with HRIS technology platforms - SAP preferred and ADP Ev5 is a plus.
* Advanced skills in Excel.
* Strong written and verbal skills are essential; must possess the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely.
* Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
* Must be capable of multi-tasking and working independently as well as in a team environment.
* Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality in all matters related to employee compensation and benefits.
