Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary 
 The Staff Graduate Assistant in the Faculty Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning will complete projects and support online course review, design, and development, under the direct supervision of the Faculty Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning personnel or designee.
Responsibilities 
 Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration, and active support of the University's Mission in Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Work closely with the Faculty Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning Team to support the continued improvement and maintenance of online and blended courses
-Interact professionally and collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students from across campus who are associated with the Faculty Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning.
-Independently organize, manage, and complete special projects per established timeline as assigned.
-Maintain an awareness and familiarity of changing learning technologies
-Use Blackboard (Learning Management System) to help create course elements and test online tools
- Provide learning technology assistance for faculty/staff walk-ins when needed
-Create/review/update faculty/student support resources including web based FAQs
-Assist with the preparation of marketing media including newsletters, flyers and electronic communications for new and updated technology rollouts
-Participate in committee/office meetings as requested
-Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications 
 -Currently enrolled as an unconditionally admitted student in a graduate program at Lewis University in good standing (minimum cum GPA of 3.0).
-Demonstrated ability to complete projects independently, consistently meeting specified expectations and deadlines.
-Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills.
-Experience with Microsoft Office applications, (minimally Word, Power Point, and Excel).
-Ability to organize and complete multiple projects effectively as assigned. Detail orientated.
-Willingness to explore and learn new technologies
Preferred Qualifications 
 Some previous experience and familiarity with online coursework and online tools in a Learning Management System (e. g., Blackboard). Experience with Google Apps. Experience with graphic design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite). Basic knowledge of HTML.
Essential Duties
Work hours  
 A minimum of 20 hours per week with flexibility to work day, evening and weekend hours. Year round position. This is not a fully remote position.
