This is a full-time, exempt position.
Job Scope:
The Payroll and Corporate Accountant is vital member of the GBS accounting team, collaborating closely with the cross-functional teams. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing a variety aspect of payroll and corporate accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. Additionally, the Payroll and Corporate Accountant will assist in enhancing the monthly close, ensuring control compliance, and the internal reporting processes.
Overview of Key Responsibilities:
+ Manage and maintain general ledger account codes in the payroll platform to streamline payroll booking in finance systems.
+ Enter payroll and corporate journal entries, including accruals, into the accounting system.
+ Reconcile payroll, payroll taxes, and benefit balance sheet accounts general ledger entries, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
+ Analyze large sets of data to support payroll and benefits transactions.
+ Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
+ Maintain and update SOP’s.
+ Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, control, and regulatory requirements.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
+ Work closely with cross function teams and other Corporate Accounting team members.
+ Provide financial analysis of key metrics, including timely issuance of accurate reports to internal customers.
+ Provide ad-hoc support to cross-functional teams.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Level of Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Work Experience and Skills Required:
+ 5+ years of accounting experience
+ Experience running accounting/finance operations in a shared-service or GBS model.
+ Sound knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and SOX
+ Proven track record of process improvement
+ Proficient in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Microsoft Office Suite
+ Prior experience in managing multiple projects at one time and strong data analytics
+ Familiarity with financial planning, forecasting and analysis processes
+ Visualization and communication skills (to a wide range of audiences both technical and non-technical) is required
+ Strong functional understanding of ADM’s operating structure desired
+ Experience with Power BI and large ERP systems (e.g. JDE, SAP, Blackline, etc) a plus

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
