We need seasonal employees to do various tasks related to apple trees and production. These tasks will include but are not limited to pruning dwarf apple trees with air operated and hand tools, assisting in brush removal, assisting in the planting of apple trees and support systems, training of trees, installation and maintenance of irrigation systems. Applicant must be able to operate pruning tools and a chain saw in a safe manner. Safe and licensed tractor driving experience is preferred. Employees will also need to assist with picking, grading, sorting, and caring for strawberries. All worker protection rules pertaining to pesticide use must be strictly followed. In the fall employees will assist in harvesting, sorting, grading and packing apples. Employees may need to assist with pressing and bottling apples into apple cider according to food safety standards. Employee will need to do various apple tree tasks such as; tree training by attaching the trees to posts, tying down branches with string and/or thinning apples from trees. Employees be able to work in a fast-paced environment in a safe manner.
