About the Team

The Value Management (VM) practice is a consulting organization that works closely with prospective customers, existing customers, and internal sales teams to define Workday enabled business outcomes. Our mission is to partner with external stakeholders to help them articulate the business case and develop the financial ROI analysis as it relates to a Workday project. In addition to our core responsibilities, we help by publishing thought leadership, developing best practices, and are always looking for new ways to make an impact.

We center on relationships, analytics, and business strategy in the industries we support. We have the privilege of advising leaders from the C-Suite to the functional members behind the scenes.

 

About the Role

 

As a Value Manager with a focus on Higher Education and the Public Sector you will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of what is driving the need for digital transformation and align that to the impact on the institution or entity to deliver compelling 'Why Change, Why Now' messaging to senior leaders and decision-makers.

  • Quickly establish relationships as a consultant and business advisor to our extended sales teams and current or prospective customers.

  • Drive engaging discovery interviews with HR, Finance, IT, and other functions to uncover their challenges and priorities.

  • Support the continued refinement of Workday's value proposition including, but not limited to, that for Higher Education and the Public Sector.

  • Identify and support impactful thought leadership projects, including the development of materials to be leveraged by teams throughout Workday.

  • Command a strong knowledge of Workday's technology and enterprise solutions to deliver compelling and relevant messages around Workday's unique and differentiated value across the offices of the CFO, CHRO, CIO, and more.

 

About You

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in advisory, consulting, corporate strategy, value engineering, or other applicable roles

  • Experience working directly with or for Higher Education, Public Sector, Government, or Federal entities

Other Qualifications

  • MBA, MS, or other relevant designation encouraged

  • Strong consulting skill-set including excellent discovery, quantitative modeling, listening, collaboration, communication, and executive presence.

  • Experience or understanding of enterprise software and the ability to think strategically about inspiring change through technological transformation initiatives.

  • Deeply curious about a variety of business models, highly motivated to have an impact on customers, and broadly interested in using technology to tackle business problems.
