Job Description
Renishaw is a global technology company with core skills in measurement, motion control, industrial automation and additive manufacturing products. We are currently seeking a Sales Engineer for Renishaw’s Industrial Automation Product Division (IAPD). As a key member of the team, this role will serve as sales and applications representative for IAPD products in the designated territory. This individual will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities and nurturing leads, through robot integrators, OEMs, and final users, meeting strategic objectives for IAPD growth and profitability.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop sales pipeline and seek new business opportunities for products through robot integrators, OEMs, and finals users in alignment with the global initiatives & strategies, as defined by the global business unit head.
- Interact with customer contacts at all levels, including management, technical personnel, and purchasing.
- Perform functionality and performance demonstrations of AIPD products during sales calls with integrators and users, at trade shows, open house events, and conferences.
- Develop expert-level product knowledge of Renishaw’s robotic solutions. Key point of contact for customers and partners.
- Support customers, providing them with a high level of application specific development, quotations, and user training.
- Complete site visits, and sales and applications activity reports.
- Regularly provide accurate sales forecasts and insights to management.
- Extensive travel within the region to establish a market presence for the product line.
- Leverage the Renishaw brand to gain access to prospective accounts through existing Renishaw regional sales representatives.
- Work closely with the product manager, teammates, and inside sales to ensure the quality of sales and technical support provided to customers.
- Effectively communicate customer requirements and new product needs to the product development group.
- Use of Microsoft Office products for creating reports, proposals, presentations, and general communications.

Qualifications
Education and Experience: Minimum
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, or Engineering Technology equivalent, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of Robotic Automation applications experience with one or more major robot brands (FANUC, Kuka, ABB, Yaskawa)
- Robot programming and integration of industrial robot systems.
- Experience (including knowledge of and direct contact) with robotics integrators, OEMs, and end users.
- Experience navigating relationships within large complex organizations to negotiate win/win outcomes.
- Fluency in English language. Spanish desirable.
Education and Experience: Preferred
- Technical certification from major robot manufacturers.
- Sales Training.

Compensation Range (Annual)
- Up to $105,000(depending on level and location)
In an effort to comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates regarding cash compensation, Renishaw sets standard pay ranges for all U.S.-based roles as established by job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, as well as geographic location, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
