Mondi Romeoville LLC seeks a Maintenance Mechanic Trainer at its Romeoville, Illinois plant.

POSITION TITLE: Maintenance Mechanic Trainer

POSITION DUTIES:

Drive Preventative and Predictive Maintenance & Repair

• Conduct daily/weekly/month examination of machinery/equipment.
• Maintain Preventive maintenance Software Upkeep
• Identify issues; perform troubleshooting activities to diagnose malfunction.
• Determine appropriate resolution, drive maintenance or repair activities.
• Prepare and maintain reports on preventative and predictive maintenance activities.
• Technical maintenance activities include: assembling/disassembling equipment or machines to clean and lubricate parts, examine parts for breakage and wear, or maintaining, adjusting and/or repairing parts; troubleshooting, locating, identifying and diagnosing malfunctions; adjusting, repairing, or replacing highly-advanced and complex electrical wiring systems or components, pneumatic or hydraulic systems and lines, and computers.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and/or maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) / Siemens
• Repair and PM Tuber Windmoeller & Hoelscher (W&H) Tuber 2155/2180/8115/8115DP
• Repair and PM for Bottomer W&H 2379/2366/8370/8320
• Repair and PM for Flexo printer W&H Miraflex and Novoflex 8 Colors

Lead Production Preparations & Machinery/Equipment Readiness

• Analyze specifications for production order.
• Ensure machinery/equipment is prepared and set-up for production: Assemble, disassemble, measure, adjust, and modify machines/equipment based on order specifications; clean and lubricate parts.
• Examine machinery/equipment; identify and perform necessary maintenance or repair actions to ensure production commences as scheduled.
• Prepare and complete pre-production readiness reports.

Train and Develop Maintenance Team

• Serve as official “trainer” for plant and key technical resource on W&H tuber and bottomer/printer equipment.
• Serve as primary contact person for German manufacture of Mondi’s converting equipment.
• Provide knowledge and technical support concerning Mondi’s repair and customization of the W&H tuber, bottomer and printer machinery/equipment to meet the specific production needs of customers.
• Demonstrate the operation, function, and repair of machinery/equipment; troubleshooting techniques to diagnose equipment malfunctions; proper use of tools (power and hand tools) and technologies (computer hardware and software) to perform maintenance; fabrication and installation of spare parts to repair machinery/equipment; execution of pre-production preparation & machinery/equipment readiness plans.
• May work any shift as need by production, 6 am – 2pm, 2 pm – 10pm and/or 10 pm – 6 am, as well as potential weekend maintenance repair work, as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, vocational high school diploma, or GED plus 8 years experience as maintenance mechanic within manufacturing plant, repairing and training others on Windmoeller & Hoelscher (W&H) converting equipment (Tubers and Bottomers), including at least 1 year of work with W&H Bottomer AD8370DP and/or AD8330DP.
