The University of Chicago's Department of Radiology is searching for a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor rank to add to our growing section of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Responsibilities will include the full spectrum of interventional radiology procedures with strong oncologic, hepatobiliary, transplant, trauma, vascular including CTA imaging, dialysis, non-vascular, portal venous, women's, and pediatric interventional radiology services. Other duties will include training and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows, and scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications. The appointee will join a vibrant and distinguished community of faculty colleagues and learners at UChicago Medicine, the Biological Sciences Division, the Pritzker School of Medicine, the University of Chicago, and its affiliates. The appointee will also participate in a variety of interdisciplinary conferences and build collaborative relationships across campus and with community partners.

The Department of Radiology includes more than 80 full-time faculty members, clinical associates, and postdoctoral researchers. In addition to teaching medical students, residents and fellows, our faculty conduct cutting-edge translational and clinical research. The medical center complex is located on the main campus of the University of Chicago, south of downtown along the shore of Lake Michigan. The local Hyde Park community is a vibrant center with restaurants and entertainment. Chicago itself is a world class city. Remote days are included weekly.

Prior to the start of employment qualified individuals must: 1) have an MD or equivalent doctoral degree; 2) be board certified or eligible with the American Board of Radiology, 3) have an active medical license in the states of Illinois and Indiana, and 4) have completed a vascular/interventional radiology fellowship or IR/DR residency.
