About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to join our Less-than-Truckload (LTL) team as an Account Manager II. The ideal candidate excels in communication, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service.
In this role, you will manage a book of business. You'll serve as a key point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, including our partner BlueGrace. Success in this position requires building strong client relationships, providing tailored solutions, and maintaining proactive communication. You'll also identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling while continuously improving the customer experience.
What the Candidate Will Do:
- Respond to customer inquiries and service requests quickly, typically within 30 minutes, to meet service level expectations and ensure a positive experience
- Effectively communicate with customers, stakeholders (both internal and external), and carriers through email and phone, providing timely updates on deliveries, confirming or canceling appointments, and sharing necessary documentation.
- Offer thoughtful, solution-oriented support for shipment tracking, delivery updates, re-rates, and documentation requests, always prioritizing customer understanding and satisfaction
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies, invoicing variances, and payment-related concerns in a timely and accurate manner
- Handle and resolve common service issues such as damaged and lost shipments, rescues and reconsignments
- Monitor incoming support requests, prioritize workload efficiently, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks
- Suggest and support improvements to workflows and customer service processes to increase efficiency and enhance the customer experience
- Complete daily reports accurately and on time to support operational visibility and performance tracking
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience in customer service or operations, preferably in the logistics or LTL (Less-than-Truckload) sector
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer-focused with a professional demeanor
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform well under pressure
- Advanced proficiency with Zendesk, Outlook, Salesforce or similar customer service platforms

Illinois: The target salary range for this position is between $52,000- $60,000 + bonus
