Assistant Director, Premium Seating & Operations

Division of Intercollegiate Athletics

Job Summary
The Assistant Director will provide support across the Commercial Operations unit (premium seating, I FUND, ticket sales and operations) to help DIA meet annual revenue generation goals. This position is responsible for day-to-day premium seating operations and will work with several areas to provide high-level service to all Illini donors and patrons.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Premium Seating Operations and Solicitation • Build relationships and provide high-level service for all premium seating patrons (in-person, phone, email, mail). • Create, send and route all license agreements associated with premium seating. • Coordinate premium seating processing, reporting, data entry and database support, while maintaining and updating records for all premium seating patrons. • Contact area businesses and individuals to sell premium tickets (season, group, single game) across all premium areas • Work with ticket operations personnel to manage sales and retention process of premium seating tickets at State Farm Center and Memorial Stadium. • Coordinate and execute premium seating communications plan, working with external engagement and revenue generation units. • Assist in building an annual premium sales strategy. • Develop unique stewardship experiences for premium members to aid in retention and customer satisfaction. • Work home games, performing various premium seating, donor relations and fan development duties as assigned.
  • Commercial Operations • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the I FUND and other commercial operations • Provide data/CRM support: • Create lists for account managers and other operational needs in support of a variety of revenue campaigns • Update data for special groups and constituent records • Assist with areas of essential donor relations programming (benefits fulfillment, donor parking, stewardship, processing) and annual fund operations. • Provide support for and tracking of gift-in-kind, trade, pledges and other contributions. • Aid in outreach and follow up for events and activities on behalf of the I FUND. • Work closely with Associate Director, I FUND and Senior Associate Athletics Director, Commercial Operations, to implement initiatives that drive contributions and ticket sales.

  • Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree One (1) year of marketing, development, or ticket sales experience, preferably in college or professional sports (or comparable experience).

    Preferred Qualifications

    Two or more years of experience in ticket sales or higher education advancement, preferably in college athletics.

    Appointment Information

    This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 6/16/2025. Salary range is $43,888 - $47,000 commensurate with experience.
