About the Role

Sr Manager, Tracking and Support Strategy & Operations will be leading a team of business analysts to determine and drive or coordinate strategic initiatives that allow us to further scale and improve our Carrier Support and Tracking objectives. Key strategic areas will encompass carrier experience and support, ops process improvement, automated solutions, overseeing the org budget management, and increasing core automation metrics. The role will require a mix of critical thinking, analytical curiosity, program management, operations, and strong people leadership skills. The team reporting into this high-impact role will be working cross-functionally, especially with Shared Services, Product/Engineering, Account Management, and Carrier Booking.

What the Candidate Will Do
  • Be a leader on our cross-functional StratOps team by guiding a team of business analysts and involving cross-functional stakeholders where appropriate
  • Find and prioritize opportunities to improve our Carrier Support and Tracking strategies, products, value propositions, and operations processes. Some initiatives your team will drive may be highly analytical in nature, others may be operational and tactical, requiring a strong bias for action
  • Program manage and report on critical metrics to measure performance, traction, and improvement, recommending and enacting action plans where needed
  • Report on progress to senior leadership and run steering committee meetings, MBRs, and annual planning
  • Directly manage and mentor a team of approximately 5-8 business analysts/program managers
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years of professional experience with a minimum of 1 year of direct people management experience
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Tableau
  • 3+ years of professional experience designing and driving a business Support strategy
  • 3+ years of professional experience driving toward aggressive OKRs and optimizing Support KPIs
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in effectively navigating and working cross-functionally within Uber Freight's Brokerage organizational structure
  • Experience in driving improvements in Customer Support KPIs
  • Strong strategic skillset
  • Strong analytical skillset
  • A consistent track record of driving impact on cross-functional teams
  • Experience in either technology or logistics, specifically around automation focused on tracking
  • A consistent track record of leading successful analytical teams
  • You have experience directing a team, with a willingness to invest in mentoring and developing your team members

Employees working more than 30 hours in the US at Uber Freight are eligible for benefits like a company sponsored health plan, dental and vision benefits, 401k match, financial and mental wellness benefits, parental leave, short- and long-term disability coverage, life insurance and more. US based employees may also be eligible for a performance or sales incentive bonus program, participation in Uber Freight equity awards, and other types of compensation depending upon the role.

Illinois: The salary range for this role is $133,000 to $148,800 a year.
