Position Overview

The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an analytical, organized, and dynamic individual to serve as Business Operations Manager in the Office of Caregiver and Parent Support. Under administrative direction of the Associate Deputy Director of Caregiver and Parent Support, this position will coordinate, plan, monitor, and manage the office’s contract, fiscal, and budgetary monitoring operations in accordance with Department policies. The position will lead the review of contractor compliance with the technical, budgetary, and program requirements of the contracts consistent with approved budgets, spend plans, decision memoranda, and program plans. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and focused on ensuring the Department receives the greatest value for its contract expenditures. Job Responsibilities
  • Serves as Business Operations Manager for the Office of Permanency Support (OPS)
  • Maintains and monitors monthly, quarterly, and annual expenditure reports
  • Monitors requisitions and contract release orders payable from fiscal appropriations to ensure compliance with Department procedures
  • Develops policies for the management and implementation of OPS’s acquisition and evaluation of the delivery of its program services by contractors
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
