Job Description
Sr. Supply Chain Engineers with Rivian Automotive, LLC in Normal, IL. Responsible for engineering end-to-end supply chain, logistics, and material flow processes from external warehouses to assembly line. Develop large-scale supply chain and logistics processes from external warehouses to assembly line in partnership with production control, packaging planning, inbound logistics, factory design, and manufacturing engineering. Conduct detailed process design including value-stream, logistics, routing, and warehouse design. Implement material flow equipment such as conveyors, EMS systems, AGVs, and ASRS systems. Develop models to analyze the cost, throughput, and space factors for part sequencing, material batching, intermediate storage locations, and other material flow strategies.
RQMTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Management, or a closely related field. Must have experience or academic training with the following: Working on data-based end-to-end supply chain, logistics, and/or material flow processes for high volume, high complexity production, or logistics facilities; Managing supply chain engineering teams; Using data visualization tools including MS PowerBI and Tableau; Analyze a variety of data using Microsoft Excel; Design value stream maps to establish and improve processes; and Create tools for inbound logistics. Salary Range: $99,000 - $131,000/yr.
