Job Description
Essential Job Functions
Technology Management:
- Oversee the implementation, integration, training and maintenance of the marketing technology stack, ensuring all systems are aligned with organizational goals and optimized for performance.
Manage Platforms:
- Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advertising, Digital Asset Management, Constant Contact, Survey Monkey, and other marketing automation tools to streamline marketing operations and improve campaign effectiveness
Data and Analytics:
- Develop and manage department dashboards and reporting tools to provide actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making, track and report on marketing campaign performance across all platforms to optimize performance.
- Oversee segmentation and analytics efforts to enhance customer targeting and personalization strategies
Salesforce Marketing Cloud integrated Campaign Management:
- Architect, design and deliver comprehensive, multi-platform journeys (digital marketing campaigns) leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advertising.
- Manage campaigns using Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads and Google Analytics ensuring data driven optimization.
- Develop strategies that seamlessly integrate email, owned social media, social media advertising and other procured media platforms to optimize campaign reach and engagement.
- Ensure that campaigns align with business objectives, incorporate advanced personalization techniques, and utilize data-driven insights for continuous improvement.
Website Optimization and SEO:
- Collaborate with agency departments to plan, build and optimize web pages that align with department goals. Implement and manage website optimization strategies to improve user experience and site performance
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to enhance the visibility and search engine ranking of the Illinois Tollway’s digital content
Project Leadership:
- Lead projects related to marketing technology enhancements and new tool implementations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technology solutions support broader marketing and business objectives
Training and Support:
- Provide training to other teams on email automation tools and upload of documents to Tollway website
- Provide training and support to the marketing team on best practices for using marketing technologies
- Stay updated with the latest marketing technology trends and innovations, recommending and implementing improvements as necessary
Vendor Management:
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and external partners to ensure the Tollway has access to the best tools and resources
- Track contracts and make budget recommendations related to marketing technology investments
Qualifications
Education (Required):
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- Salesforce Administrator certification
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist certification
Experience & Skills (Required):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing technology, digital marketing or marketing operations roles. Consideration will be given to recent master’s graduates with appropriate qualifications, relevant Salesforce and Google Ads certifications and hands on experience through internships, coursework or projects.
- Experience with email marketing platforms including Constant Contact.
- Experience with DAM (digital asset management) platforms and best practices.
- Demonstrated strength in SEO/SEM and website development and optimization.
- Very strong expertise in digital ad platforms including Meta Ad Manager and Google Ads.
- Ability to analyze and optimize campaigns using Google Analytics
- Strong background in managing CRM and marketing automation platforms
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advertising, Constant Contact, Digital Asset Management, Survey Monkey and other marketing technology tools.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis, segmentation, and reporting
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and best practices
Education (Preferred):
- Master’s degree in marketing, computer science, analytics, business administration.
- Salesforce Advanced Administration certification.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification.
Experience (Preferred):
- Experience in the transportation or infrastructure sector
- Advanced certifications in Salesforce or other marketing technology platforms.
