Job Description

Responsible for systems integration, design, creation, analysis, and testing of automation systems to meet client and project requirements. Perform various forms of software design and analysis on automation system components; track software design to Grantek templates. Design and write system code using various programming languages and related technologies. Write technical documentation of design systems. Interface with Managers and Senior Designers for design standards. Perform commissioning per the project scope and complete commissioning summaries with client approval. Take part in project reviews with peers and managers. Develop and write up user functional and technical specification documentation, service calls and small quotes, and review quotes with Manager or client. Monitor and address high-risk items related to the project. Write up service calls and assist with small quotes; review quotes with Manager or client. Assist in establishing guidelines, devising new approaches, applying existing criteria in new manners, and drawing conclusions from comparative situations. Participate in planning to achieve prescribed objectives. Alert Managers and/or Project Managers on scope changes. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and customer standards/practices when working on projects. Develop and maintain key client relationships; observe for potential client needs. Work with PLC Programming, HMI platforms, SCADA platforms, Servo Motion Control, Cognex, Datalogic, Keyence, MES platforms, C#, HTML5, .NET, Cloud, SQL, VB, VBA, Oracle and Microsoft Office. Bachelor's degree plus 1 year of experience required. Offered wage: $106,558/yr, Standard company benefits incl. med/dent/vision, PTO, 401K, STD, LTD, Life Ins. Work site: Oak Brook, IL. Telecommuting is available. 24% of work time will involve domestic travel, 1% of work time may involve travel to Canada.
