Job Description
ASSISTANT RESIDENT ENGINEERS, Wheaton, IL: Provide construction inspection services for var construction projects incl interpreting designs, overseeing team of inspectors, & documentation of on-site construction work. Manage day-to-day construction operations on-site to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, & schedule. Requires daily travel to project sites within Chicago metropolitan area. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related engineering field and 84 months of experience req’d. Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Illinois and hold a valid IDOT Documentation of Contract Quantities certification. Minimum of 7 years of Construction Inspection experience. Within this, must have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an Assistant Resident Engineer, which must include all of the following: experience working collaboratively with all project stakeholders (client, contractor, sub-consultants) and interacting with the public to respond to inquiries and resolve problems; experience implementing industry, client, and regulatory agency standards and requirements; utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bentley Microstation Geopak to prepare design and Construction plans; and applying industry safety standards, guidelines, and specification codes to construction projects. Offered wage: $118,581/year - $170,000/year. Medical, dental, and vision coverages through OSEH Group Plans. Eligibility for Commuter Benefits. 401k Plan (Company Matches up to 4% contribution).
