Job Description

Senior Manufacturing Engineer, Xylem Inc., Morton Grove, IL. Support manufacturing operations of facility. Resolve production issues, quality alerts and issues, equipment replacement and maintenance, and tooling identification. Investigate on new technology, equipment, and manufacturing innovations (Factory 4). Develop process to reduce non-value-added time spent in moving materials. Assist and train manufacturing engineers on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software (LN from Info Systems). Conduct mandatory yearly inventory Audits. Revise CNC equipment programs and assist with tooling. Maintain work cell and facility layout drawings in AutoCAD. Optimize cutting path and time.  Coordinate with various departments to ensure product materials and other requirements are available to meet SLA (Service Level Agreement). Analyze existing projects and assess for potential developments to capture cost savings. Support packaging projects to improve customer satisfaction.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Salary: $121,701/yr. Standard Company Benefits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of related work experience in a manufacturing industry.

Must have three (3) years of experience with/in the following:

-          Welding, machining, manufacturing assembly, 3D printing, and wrapping machines;

-          Training in classical ME/IE functions and Lean/Six Sigma;

-          Working with pump assemblies, mechanics and RRCS (Relentless Root Cause Analysis). 

-          Utilizing LN for resource planning software to create job shop routings, production orders, warehousing orders, and shipments;

-          Training manufacturing engineers and cell operators;

-          2D/ 3D modelling experience in SolidWorks/ CREO and AutoCAD;

-          Purchase orders for capitalized projects;

-          CNC programming; and

-          Developing standard operating procedures (SOP) using Vuforia Augmented Reality (AR) Software.

Up to 10% domestic/international travel required.
