Job Description

Cboe Global Markets Inc. seeks a Principal Security Engineer in Chicago, IL.

Duties:

• Provide leadership and support to design, develop, maintain, and operate global information security capabilities including security data lake, user entity and behavior analytics, identity and access management, cloud security and security orchestration and automation response capabilities.
• Design and develop procedures and threat models to reduce false positives and improve threat detection.
• Lead evaluation of requirements and overarching design of security capabilities across a wide range of technology stacks.
• Perform gap analysis to prioritize and develop security solutions using various security-related tools, programming languages and services.
• Document and educate others in use of complex products and services.
• Through design and architecture work, determine when appropriate to incorporate cloud technologies as part of implemented systems.
• Create process documentation for the security operations teams.
• Design and implement reporting frameworks and systems to generate metrics measured by management.
• Guide and assist junior team members to ensure on-time completion of initiatives.
• Liaison to Application Security teams for security of implemented solutions.
• Consult externally from the Global Security Team to provide guidance for security robustness of implementations done by other teams, e.g. Data and Analytics.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering or related field, plus 8 years of experience as an Information Security Engineer, Data Engineer, Cybersecurity Engineer, Software Engineer or other related disaster recovery role.

This position requires 5 years of experience with the following skills:

• SIEM Platform configuration, deployment, management, use and case creation;
• Linux or Unix Infrastructure system administration;
• Cloud or Amazon Web Services (AWS).

This position requires 4 years of experience with incident response process for data breach or cyberattack.

This position requires 2 years of experience with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM).

This position requires 1 year of experience with:

• Software development; and
• Configuration Management.

Any amount of experience with security orchestration, automation and response (SOAR) Platform;

This position requires an Information Technology Security or Cloud certification.
