What You Will Do
Under administrative direction of the Manager, this position provides direct support for computer solutions to customer service problems, as well as the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the computer hardware and software. This includes providing hardware, software and networking training and support. The objective is to provide timely and effective computing solutions to customers.
This position also works as part of the team that refreshes leased computers on campus during the lease cycle.
This position may also provides direct support for computer solutions in computer labs and classrooms. This includes installation, configuration and maintenance of the computers.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- High School Graduation or equivalent.
- Any combination totaling one year from the following categories: progressively more responsible work experience in an Information Technology (IT) related profession; college course work which included Information Technology (IT), or a closely related discipline, 60 semester hours or Associate. All experience can be concurrent.
- 1) 1 or more years installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software;
- 2) 1 or more years demonstrable knowledge of scripting languages OR programming, and programming theory and practice;
- 3) 1 or more years troubleshooting computer networking technology, servers, services, and related protocols such as TCP/IP, NETBIOS, AppleTalk, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11;
- 4) 1 or more years installing, maintaining, administering, and trouble shooting multiple operating system platforms such as DOS, MS-Windows, Apple Mac OS, iOS, Android, UNIX, etc.;
- 5) 1 or more years Microsoft Deployment Toolkit or alternate large scale imaging experience;
- 6)1 or more years maintaining systems in an Active Directory environment;
