Job Description

 This position serves as the Client Agency Network Services Manager, in planning, designing, and implementing long-term network strategies to maintain a secure, robust, and reliable Client Agency Network. In this role, you will develop, implement, and manage policies, procedures, and operational practices to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, reliable, robust, and secure client agency network while adhering to DoIT and industry best practices. In addition, you will manage and develop the Client Agency Network Operation’s budget, contracts, and procurement by directing technical program budget preparation, negotiating contracts, and controlling the appropriation of technology expenditures. 

• Subject to management approval, serves as the Client Agency Network Services Manager, for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), planning, designing, and implementing long-term network strategies to maintain a secure, robust, and reliable Client Agency Network. 
• Develops, implements, and manages policies, procedures, and operational practices to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, reliable, robust, and secure client agency network while adhering to DoIT and industry best practices. 
• Manages and develops the Client Agency Network Operation’s budget, contracts, and procurement by directing technical program budget preparation, negotiating contracts, and controlling the appropriation of technology expenditures.  
• Provides technical support and consultative assistance to user agencies and oversees the gathering of technical requirements for business/user domains which impact networking components, such as Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) requirements. 
• Serves as full line supervisor. 
• Leads and directs the evolution and innovation of Client Agency Network Operations in researching the latest technology in the network services field and the latest requirements provided by State and Federal government and as agency users.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
