This Maintenance Tech 2 position requires minimum 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Opportunity for overtime based on business requirements. Some mandatory Saturdays and an after-hours rotating call-in schedule, as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance using established best practices to ensure equipment reliability and uptime.
- Apply 5S organizational principles and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, cleanliness, and high-quality work standards.
- Maintain safe work practices while operating in challenging environments, including dirty or steam-heated areas.
- Inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain production equipment used in a chemical manufacturing environment.
- Read basic blueprint (P&ID is a plus).
- Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting - 460VAC, 220VAC, 110VAC.
- Install and maintain up to 3” piping systems and related instrumentation or process equipment (e.g. process gauges, transducers, thermocouples, etc.).
- Assist in the planning and installation of new equipment, piping, electrical, etc.
- Use CMMS software to document repairs and maintenance performed daily.
- Effectively follow a prioritized planned work order schedule along with unscheduled order management.
- Comply with all applicable OSHA standards and company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, safe work permits, hot work permits, LOTO, PPE, fall protection, confined space, etc.
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Support the team with after-hours outages by fulfilling a role in a rotating call-in program.
