Job Description
Department: The Springfield Police Department - Division: Records.
In this role you will:
● Complete FOIA requests in a timely fashion as determined by law.
● Reviews all FOIA requests for response and consultation with the Records Manager for clarification.
● Review the reports and enter all information and NIBRS codes into the record management system for validation.
● Report monthly and yearly NIBRS statistical data to the Illinois State Police and Federal Bureau of Investigation.
● Retrieve corresponding records, to include reports, digital media and video footage and redacts all necessary information.
● Verify and validate entries listed on the monthly Leads validation provided by the ISP and maintain juvenile offender information.
