Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Manager, Finance Operations supports the Sr. Manager, Finance Operations with responsibilities for plant analysis throughout the month, month-end close activities, standard cost analysis, support of standardization and improvement of processes, internal reporting, and annual audits. This individual will support financial planning and analysis at the operations level, provide critical insights to guide the company's strategic and tactical direction, including cross functional cost saving initiatives. This person must be a self-starter, excited by the opportunity to make a tangible impact, ensure accurate financial reporting and adept at communicating with multiple levels of an organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Sr. Manager and Director with providing business partnering support to Operations Leadership (Financial analysis, cost reduction opportunities, and monitoring and benchmark/trend reporting)
- Assist with preparation of Financial Outlook, Periodic Forecasts and Annual Budget.
- Consolidation and analysis of financial inputs for forecasting deliverables, KPIs, and Adhoc requests
- Evaluate material, production, and overhead costs to budget, forecast and prior periods.
- Support communication of complex financial information to leadership and other stakeholders within the division.
- Assists in standard cost analysis and updates as required.
- Contributes to a high-performing finance team within the operations division, helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement, excellence, and innovation.
- Provide supporting documentation for company audit
- Provide accounting support for corporate and operations functions
- Supports development and implementation of sustainable process improvements.
- Participation in and support of relevant cross functional projects and initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or MBA is a plus
- 5-7 years' experience in progressively responsible accounting/finance roles
- Technical Accounting knowledge/proficiency: solid understanding of GAAP
- Manufacturing and cost accounting experience.
- Experienced in implementing/maintaining internal controls
- Experienced with major ERP systems (SAP Preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to drive change across multiple functions.
- The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail oriented, and self-motivated. Capable of monitoring and prioritizing competing tasks and projects.
- Team player attitude and adept at multi-level cross cultural communication.
- Advanced Excel skills
