JOB SUMMARY

Maker's Pride's goal is to become the world's most trusted partner in food, and this transformative growth will be enabled by an aggressive Private Label strategy. Maker's Pride is looking for a Private Label Strategy Manager that will ensure the strategy is delivered through facilitating collaboration among all functions within Maker's Pride and by providing transparency to our leaders. A growth strategy has been developed and we are looking for a leader to execute the plan and ensure alignment from various teams within the organization including but not limited to: plant leadership, finance, engineering, and others. We are looking for an experienced individual who is comfortable with ambiguity, proven experience across various functional teams, and who has executed, managed, and commercialized complex projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / WHAT YOU GET TO DO
  • Support the Private Label Sales VP in developing and articulating the 3-year Private Label growth strategy and path to success
  • Contribute to the execution of the growth strategy through identification of roadblocks and solution recommendations
  • Maintain an understanding of available capacity and capabilities across Maker's Pride sites, in partnership with the Customer Success Team
  • Partner with Account Managers to identify key growth opportunities based on the customer profile
  • Leverage the customer growth opportunities combined with Maker's Pride's capacity/capabilities to define our portfolio of Private Label offerings, from focus categories to specific SKU portfolio
  • Evaluate product portfolio and ensure margins are maintained, recommend price changes, as deemed necessary
  • Partner with R&D to develop formulations required for the prioritized SKU portfolio, and refine those formulas as needed to improve competitiveness
  • Conduct analysis to support the growth and profitability of our Private Label business, including understanding our lost projects and the margin profile of the business
  • Build supporting materials for customer communications around pricing/commodities, new item offerings, customer/category trends, etc. by leveraging our library of assets
  • Work directly with and collaborate with Operations leaders to gain support of initiatives

KEY COMPETENCIES / WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
  • Adaptive & comfort dealing with ambiguity due to the new development of Private Label
  • Demonstrated understanding of the commercialization process within Maker's Pride
  • Demonstrated ability to manage prioritization when conflict arises
  • Track, measure and communicate with leadership the status of an ongoing, robust opportunity pipeline
  • Ability to gain support internally on timeline adherence to ensure delivery of projects on time and in line with customer expectations
  • Openness to learning -Private Label is newer to our company and it will be important to learn and adapt while process development occurs and documenting new and improved processes as needed
  • Experience managing and executing complex, cross functional projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, strategic thinking, and ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, finance, accounting, or another relevant field - Required
  • Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience - Required
  • Experience working across multiple business functions (e.g., finance, consulting, marketing, operations) - Preferred
  • Manufacturing experience - Preferred

The pay range for this full-time, salaried position is $110,152 - $137,690/year. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
