  • Ensure a controls framework to safeguard and properly report the value of the company's assets
  • Analyzes monthly operating results and key operating measures. Analyzes variances to standard and determine root cause . Works with Operations to determine corrective action.
  • Responsible for accurate recording of manufacturing and overhead costs. Partners with Operations to e nsure budgets are clearly communicated and adhered to.
  • Provides financial analysis and decision support to division leadership
  • Prepares and tracks margin analysis and cost reductions for new product programs.
  • Prepares and tracks PPV, Unplanned Transactions, and Cycle Count Accuracy
  • Leads the AOP (Annual Operating Plan) financial planning by publishing a calendar of events, developing budget with department heads, loading financials into COGNOS, etc.
  • Financial lead for the ECR (change management system)
  • Maintains standard costs in QAD.
  • Cost development for current and new products.
  • Produces weekly and monthly reports of manufacturing results and performance.
  • Analysis of inventory variances/transactions, plus inventory control/cycle count program .
  • Partners with local management in identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities.
  • Processes all quote requests from customers for new products.
  • Monitors and tracks CIP spending for local capital projects.
  • Maintains the fixed asset system for the location monthly .
  • Responsible for month end close process. Record all journal entries for site . Including payroll, depreciation, inventory valuation, accruals, recurring expenses, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in accounting or economics required .
  • CMA /CPA/MBA a plus.
    • Manufacturing cost experience ( 5-8 years) preferred.
    • Cost analysis in a manufacturing/machining environment strongly preferred.
    • Experience in standard cost systems strongly preferred.
    • Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze and interpret data required .
    • 4 + years' experience developing variable burden and fixed overhead rates a plus.
    • 4 + years' experience developing cost quotes on existing and new products a plus.
    • Experience with a well-known ERP system (i.e., SAP, QAD, etc.) required .
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills .
