Looking For An Amazing Career? Apply Today!Volt is immediately hiring for Regional Sales Manager in Southeastern U.S. (preferably Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC).
This is a Full-Time/Direct Hire opportunity.
Schedule: Remote - Regular business hours, with travel as needed. This is not a 9-5 position due to the nature of sales and project management.
Compensation: $75,000 base + commission on products sold + Bonuses. On-Target Earnings (OTE): $125,000 - $135,000+ (includes base, commission, and bonuses based on total sales). Company vehicle lease provided.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
Qualifications:
- Willingness to Travel: This role requires approximately 50% regional travel within the Southeast, with frequent field visits to customers and dealers for relationship building. Must be comfortable working independently and being on the road frequently. Initial travel for trade shows and training is also expected.
- Experience in Construction and Mining Industry: Must have experience in the heavy equipment industry, understanding the "lingo" and workplace dynamics. While technical experience is not required, a strong understanding of machinery is essential for success.
- Project Management & Hunter/Farmer Mentality: Sales cycles can be weeks or months long, requiring the ability to juggle numerous active projects. This role demands a "hunter" mentality for prospecting new business, combined with a "farmer" approach for nurturing long-term relationships and planting seeds for future sales.
- Five+ years of sales experience: in the heavy equipment industry or similar industry/products.
- Develop machine sales, profit, and market share in an assigned region.
- Set up and conduct meetings with end-users, often through a dealer network.
- Cold call and research potential clients.
- Set appointments, quote, and manage the sales pipeline.
- Build strong relationships with customers and dealers.
- Form & maintains strong business relationships with dealers and end-user customers
- Help to develop and implement marketing and strategic plans for the assigned sales area
- Manage customer and market business information, plans and forecasts to be incorporated into the annual corporate budget and used by the company to manage its sales efforts in the assigned area.
- Prepare and present sales quotations and other communication as necessary to achieve sales and manage customer relationships.
