Job Description

• Provide academic advising for all undergraduate math majors; serve as primary advisor for approximately 1/3 of our majors.
• Advise students in mathematical majors during summer orientation.
• Primary personnel for monitoring and answering messages to the Mathematics Advising email account.
• Career advising; Help student explore career options and connect their academic goals with potential career paths; Discuss and promote internships, graduate and professional programs and career development with undergraduates.
• Assist with the preparation and production of convocation ceremonies.
• Other duties as assigned to further the mission of the unit.

• Knowledge of academic skills and student development issues associated with undergraduate student populations, especially those that require enhanced advising and academic skills support.
