Beacon Hill Legal is partnering with a well-established family law firm in St. Charles, IL, to identify a Family Law Associate Attorney to join their growing team. This is a strong opportunity for an attorney with courtroom experience who is looking to take on complex cases, work closely with experienced litigators, and grow within a stable and supportive practice.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in a range of family law matters, including custody disputes, financial issues, and contested divorces
- Prepare and review pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence
- Conduct discovery, depositions, and legal research
- Appear in court and advocate on behalf of clients in contested hearings and trials
- Maintain consistent client communication and manage expectations
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation
- JD from an accredited law school
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois
- 2-5+ years of experience practicing family law
- Prior courtroom and trial experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal advocacy skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines
- Experience working with high-conflict clients or contested matters is a plus
- Competitive six-figure base salary, commensurate with experience
- Bonus potential based on performance
- 1800 billable hour target
- In-office work environment with regular client contact and team collaboration
