About the Team
The GTM Planning Team is a small, high-leverage team with a mandate to lead integrated Go-To-Market business planning across GTM functions and in partnership with Enterprise Planning, Finance, and X-functional Strategy & Planning teams. We drive the process by which high-level strategy is translated into tangible actions and measurable results. We are building this capability in a dynamic environment and to support Workday as a newly minted S&P 500 company for its next phase of growth. About the Role
About the role
The Senior GTM Planning Manager will play a critical role in transforming and driving our integrated GTM planning process. This role will collaborate across functions to drive critical GTM strategic initiatives forward and ensure accountability for results across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on Workday’s growth and performance. Reporting to the Head of GTM Planning, you will own critical components of the GTM planning process, conduct insightful analysis, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.
Responsibilities

Annual Planning: Orchestrate annual planning cycle within Global Customer Operations to develop integrated GTM plan, in close partnership with Enterprise Planning, Finance, other GTM functions. Play a critical role in designing planning processes, organizing GTM planning forums, and ensuring functional plans deliver on Workday’s ambitious growth targets

GTM Readiness: Drive highly cross-functional process to ensure GTM execution and launch readiness

Executive Business Reviews: Design & drive cadence of executive business reviews to review progress on execution. Understand key performance drivers, develop data-driven recommendations and identify actionable insights to inform decision-making.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Develop and monitor key performance metrics for GTM performance. Establish standardized reporting mechanisms to track progress, ensure transparency, and drive accountability.

Business Insights: Conduct & present analyses to inform planning trade-offs and decision-making

Goal Alignment: Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic imperatives into clear, tangible execution targets
About You
Basic Qualifications (Required)
-
7+ years of work experience with a background in strategy & operations, product operations, program management, strategy consulting, or corporate strategy
-
5+ years experience working within Sales/GTM, Customer Experience, Services, Marketing, Strategy, or similar functions; strong understanding of SaaS business models
-
Demonstrated experience in leading complex strategic initiatives with highly cross-functional teams
-
Strong GTM strategic and analytical skills: able to analyze GTM data and trends effectively to support fact-based decision making, while engaging meaningfully on the big picture or overall strategy
-
Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges. Strong presence and interpersonal skills to interact and influence teams, executives, and cross-functional teams
Other qualifications

MBA preferred; top-tier strategy consulting experience strongly preferred

Experience with SaaS and enterprise software products or services

Experience with Sales systems preferred (Salesforce.com, Clari)

Experience with Snowflake and Sigma Computing preferred

Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations

Understanding of cross-functional and interconnected nature of strategic and operational choices across the GTM value stream

Experience in preparing and presenting business insights to senior executives to influence strategic decision-making

Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $153,700 USD - $230,600 USD
Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range: $139,100 USD - $247,100 USD
