In support of this vision, The DOT Coordinator must be team oriented, proactive, and goal driven. This position ensures the company maintains compliant Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) records and provides administrative support to maintain the Tollway Drug and Alcohol Program.

 

 

Essential Job Functions

 

The DOT Coordinator ensures the company maintains compliant Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) records and provides administrative support to the Project Manager and HR Services Manager.

  • Administers and maintains quarterly random drug and alcohol testing compliance requirements.
  • Reviews DOT programs, policies, and procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains complete, accurate and compliant records of covered staff DOT/Non-DOT FMCSA files.
  • Maintains CDL logs to ensure licensure renewal and expiration.
  • Collaborates with Engineering and Facilities and Fleet departments and staff to make sure managers are trained annually.
  • Research, and apply state, federal, industry specific and Tollway compliance standards for DOT.
  • Participates in the administration of disciplinary action for all DOT violations.
  • Completes corrective action reports and ensure the corrective action is resolved
  • Prepares and submit reports on compliance activities.
  • Other duties as assigned
