Job Description
As a Commercial Lending Assistant, you will play a key role in the loan process by providing administrative and operational support to our commercial lending officers. Your responsibilities will include:
• Track and coordinate status of loan files from application to closing. Prepare credit files for submission to loan processing.
• Assist with transmitting maturing loan notices, collection of applications, disclosures, and financials to process renewals.
• Coordinate loan closings with loan officers, clients, loan documentation staff, attorneys, and title company representatives.
• Serve as an initial point of contact for customer inquiries. Provide routine customer service for in-person, mail, email, and telephone inquiries directed to loan officers as needed.
• Perform portfolio management support duties including preparing and transmitting financial request letters to borrowers and recording financials upon collection; track exceptions.
• Assist with maintaining and distributing a commercial lending department sales pipeline and prospects tracking report.
• Coordinate business banking services with personal banking staff, loan officers, and clients to open products and services cross-sold by loan officers or requested by business banking clients.
• Obtain client signatures and necessary documentation to open new products and services and discuss supplemental services and features related to those products and services.
• Assist internal customers with high quality service.
• Seek active involvement in community organizations and participate in community activities and events as a representative of the bank
