Job Description
Department: The Office of Public Utilities -
Division: Electric Distribution
In this role you will:
●Assemble and disassemble various types ofelectrical material or equipment in high places,below ground level, at ground level, or withinconfined spaces, oftentimes while energized
●Climb ladders, poles, steel structures, in and out ofditches, on and off equipment, oftentimes near highvoltage lines
●Understand electric high voltage clearances toperform work safety and follow all safetyprocedures in establishing appropriate workingclearance, hot work
●Operates various equipment such as a diggerderrick, aerial lift device, trencher, backhoe, crane,etc. as well as loads and unloads trucks andtrailers for transporting electrical equipment
●Drive single or combination vehicles 26,001 ormore pounds. Inspects tools and equipment forwear or defects to assure safe and properoperation
●Complete requisition forms for materials and toolsand write out maintenance tickets for equipmentrepair
