Job Description

Siemens Industry, Inc. seeks a Project Strategy Manager in Buffalo Grove, IL. Duties: Analyze, define, monitor, & publish capacity by plant by product. Review plant loading, monitor capacity impacts for strategic (larger) opportunities. Define case scenarios based on plausible outcomes for mix of opportunities (or loss of existing). Define lead times for apparatus product assigned to PSM and communicate those lead times to sales. Define dollars per unit (as defined by capacity), establish capacity utilization strategies (QS vs Exp vs LT). Maintain process flow understanding plant minimums for key processes (time for engineering for example). Assist with financial planning for capacity increases or decreases, effects of lead time changes. Responsible for roll up of ABP and P2 dollars based off of current schedules and defined utilizations using defined dollar per unit.  Define process flow for shadowloading opportunities, monitor for milestone achievements. Define effects of each shadowload from a capacity & financial standpoint, update RoF as needed.  Maintain list of “boulder/meteor” opportunities by sub segment, defining risk and opportunity from a money and capacity standpoint. Calculate roll up of OI and revenue based on plant schedules, shadowload milestones, and expected opportunities. Publish effects & risks of capacity over / under utilization in current and subsequent years. Maintain a forward view plan, by plant and product, for 3-5 years for revenue and capacity balancing m customer relationships with a focus on capacity allocations and schedule both pre and post order. Calculate roll up of OI and revenue based on plant schedules, shadowload milestones, and expected opportunities. Publish effects and risks of capacity over / under utilization in current and subsequent years. Maintain a forward view plan, by plant and product, for 3-5 years for revenue and capacity balancing. 10% domestic travel. Remote work permitted.

Qualifications:               The position requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management, Business, or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires experience in the following: Understanding of basic systems: snowflake, tableau, excel, knime;  Understanding of how to apply AI to datasets and  yield conclusive data Patterns; Consensus builder experience, able to navigate conflict; Base level of production planning & financial concepts; Ability to view data independent of source files and envision demonstration management, and use of the data to multiple stakeholders; Ability to find, define, use, and forecast dollars, capacity based on factors based on multiple stakeholder input; Ability to present & navigate executive level interactions.
