Job Description
- Responsible for contract entry, reconciliation with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and maintaining an organized archiving system.
- Oversee, execute, and provide insights on the profitability of daily transactions, as well as managing daily P&L activities. Preparing periodic reports as needed.
- Manage and execute hedging market orders, overseeing various order types for customers and suppliers in the futures exchange market.
- Provide weekly support to the trading team by conducting cocoa market and fundamental analysis.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of cocoa/commodity markets and deliver periodic presentations to customers and stakeholders.
- Organize and conduct local training about cocoa/commodity markets for diverse teams.
- Manage a comprehensive traceability report for key accounts, tracing the entire chain from producer countries through surveys to the delivered chocolate, including production analysis.
- Oversee raw material pricing, escalations, and maintenance within the SAP/RPS system.
- Monitor costing for various supply chain activities and offer support, as necessary.
- Develop periodic buying plans based on internal and external supply and demand factors.
- Coordinate and manage intercompany products such as liquor, cake, and powder in alignment with budget and business strategy.
- Ensure local planners have contracts available in order to fulfill raw material requirements for plants.
- Generate management reports to monitor stock levels and working capital, including supply chain financing programs.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure timely payments are made.
- Utilize SAP to meet supply chain and planning requirements at local and international levels.
- Support the global team with new continuous improvement projects, managing local training and implementation efforts.
- Assist new business and trading opportunities as they arise.
- Part-time telecommuting available.
- 5% international travel required.
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business, Economics or related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in agricultural commodities markets, trading, hedging operations, international trade plus Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Futures market, product portfolio management and innovation
- Agricultural global markets
- Managing or working with financial reports and data
- SAP
- Cocoa Market
Knowledge may be demonstrated through education, training and/or experience. References required.
