Job Title: Email Marketing Specialist
Reports To: Director, Digital Marketing
Position Location: Vernon Hills, IL

Position Summary:
The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for promoting the business brand, products, and services through the email channel. The individual will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and optimization of our email marketing campaigns, driving awareness, traffic, and engagement. A successful candidate will have the ability to create engaging content, have a keen eye for detail, and possess strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and monitor email marketing campaigns from conception to completion.
- Collaborates with internal teams and external agencies to create email marketing campaigns that align with overall marketing strategies.
- Develop compelling and creative email content, including copy and visuals, to drive engagement and achieve campaign objectives.
- Ensure all content is in line with brand guidelines and resonates with the target audience.
- Implement audience segmentation strategies by utilizing customer data and insights to optimize targeting, personalize content, and drive maximum impact.
- Conduct A/B testing on various elements of email campaigns (subject lines, content, timing, etc.) to optimize performance and enhance results.
- Utilize analytics tools to monitor email marketing performance (KPIs), extract meaningful insights, identify areas for improvement, and prepare regular reports for stakeholders.
- Implement and manage email automation workflows to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, platform updates, competitors and regulations (including CAN-SPAM and GDPR) to ensure campaigns are innovative, effective and compliant.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from accredited higher learning institution in marketing, science, or related area
Experience:
- 3+ years marketing experience in email marketing or related digital channel
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of, or actual working experience in life sciences, laboratory or process/industrial products preferred
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms and automation tools
- Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills and demonstrate the capacity to make appropriate decisions independently.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of email content and campaigns.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, efficiently works under pressures, within deadlines or other essential time constraints.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate to all levels of the organization clearly and concisely.
- Ability to function in a sophisticated, matrix business environment.
- Strong work ethic and an ability to excel within a rapidly changing and growing organization.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $50,000-$60,000, depending on location, experience, and qualifications.
