Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and mechanically-inclined Parts Counter Sales Specialist to be a key member of our growing team at a well-established, family-oriented full-service equipment dealership. This role centers on providing exceptional support to both walk-in and online customers by helping them source the right parts and supplies for a variety of equipment needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist walk-in, telephone, and online customers at the parts counter, delivering prompt and knowledgeable service

Guide customers, sales staff, and service technicians in identifying and sourcing the correct parts based on equipment models and reference materials

Handle the entire sales process from customer inquiry through invoicing, including special and back-ordered items

Collaborate with parts managers and vendors to locate hard-to-find items, create purchase orders, and ensure timely inventory tracking

Manage incoming and outgoing inventory, including organizing, stocking, and maintaining displays in the showroom and warehouse

Communicate regularly with customers and colleagues to update on parts orders, deliveries, and fulfillment timelines

Promote a safe and organized work environment by following all health and safety protocols

Perform occasional local pick-up or delivery of parts as needed

Support team members by filling in at the counter or assisting with stocking when necessary

Embrace additional tasks or projects as assigned to support department goals
Qualifications:

Outgoing, service-oriented personality with mechanical aptitude and a keen interest in equipment or automotive parts

Previous experience in parts sales, particularly with auto or heavy equipment is a plus, though not required

Effective communication skills; comfortable interacting by phone, email, and in person

Strong organization, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities

Willingness to actively learn and adapt on the job – comprehensive training is provided

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

High school diploma or equivalent required

Ability to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug checks)
Pay & Benefits:

Competitive hourly wage, based on experience: $24 per hour (non-commission role)

Regular, predictable schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
