Job Description
Goodwill TalentBridge is seeking a motivated and results-driven Warehouse Lead to join our client’s team in Libertyville.
In this role you will assist with the daily operations of the warehouse in shipping and receiving, ensuring a safe, efficient, and productive environment. As Warehouse Lead, you will supervise a team, delegate tasks, and oversee timely, accurate order fulfillment while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and productivity.
Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday plus overtime based on business need.
Pay: $23/hr
Location: Libertyville, IL
Temp to hire
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse associates to achieve productivity and accuracy goals.
- Collaborate with the Supervisor to assess staffing needs and allocate labor based on workflow (Pick-Pack-Ship).
- Oversee the picking, packing, and shipping of warehouse orders, ensuring tasks meet KPIs.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of Work-in-Progress (WIP) inventory and shipping documentation.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Train and provide ongoing coaching to new warehouse associates.
- Troubleshoot order fulfillment issues and resolve inquiries promptly.
- Assist with planning and leading departmental and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and training of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Dozuki documentation.
- Help identify root causes of shipping errors and contribute to corrective/preventative actions.
- Adapt to fast-paced environments and follow instructions effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2-3 years of experience in warehouse operations with supervisory or lead responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English and perform basic math.
- Proficiency in warehouse management practices; experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Teams is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience operating an electric pallet jack (required) and stand-up reach truck (required)
