As the Environmental Product Compliance Manager, you will lead efforts to ensure that Panduit products adhere to global environmental compliance laws and regulations, helping to maintain our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. What You Will Do
  • Policy Development: Define and implement comprehensive product design policies to ensure that all Panduit offerings are compliant with the environmental regulations of their intended markets.
  • Guidelines Creation: Author and disseminate product design guidelines that align with market expectations regarding sustainable material selection, manufacturing processes, product use, and end-of-life considerations.
  • Communication Strategy: Develop and distribute effective communication materials that outline the environmental compliance attributes of Panduit products for both distributors and end-users, thereby enhancing customer preference and loyalty.
  • Regulatory Monitoring: Stay abreast of global environmental legislation, industry standards, and customer specifications to ensure that product environmental compliance guidelines are current and effective.
  • Data Management: Identify and implement data retention requirements for product environmental attributes. Support internal design teams and customer experience advocates to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Impact Assessment: Evaluate the environmental aspects and impacts associated with Panduit's product fulfillment activities. This includes assessing material selection, packaging, sourcing, manufacturing processes, and product delivery to identify significant impacts and opportunities for improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to define environmental compliance objectives, enhance material compliance strategies, and ensure alignment with both customer needs and regulatory requirements. Establish performance indicators to monitor and evaluate progress toward achieving these objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement Leadership: Drive audits and advocate for sustainability policies, providing technical guidance on materials and packaging. Strive to position Panduit as a leader in environmental responsibility and innovation.
What You Will Bring
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental, material science or sustainability.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in environmental compliance within the manufacturing or product development sectors.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of environmental regulations, material science, standards, and best practices. Commitment to continuous improvement and environmental compliance practices.
  • Skills: Facility with Microsoft Office suite software. Familiarity with relational databases, enterprise resource planning software and CAD design software. Familiarity with the chemistry of materials used in the plastics and electronics industries. Critical thinking, risk assessment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.

Compensation: The expected annual base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $110.000. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
