Job Description
The Adler Planetarium is seeking an Interim CFO to join our dynamic team on Chicago’s Museum Campus. This Executive Leader will manage the financial activities of the Adler Planetarium and oversee internal operating support areas including facilities, human resources, accounting, information technology, and grant management. This individual will also be responsible for:
- Working with Executive Team colleagues to establish the organizational strategy and evaluate progress against strategic goals; advising the CEO on the financial impact of strategic options.
- Overseeing the annual budgeting process, collaborating departments and Executive Team. Discuss and inform Adler Trustees, particularly members of the Finance Committee
- Executing other responsibilities as they arise, including contract review, financial and trend analysis, institutional operating and capital budget planning and oversight and cash forecasting, indirect cost rate negotiation, and vendor and union negotiations.
