Position Summary

C5T is seeking an MA Operations Information Environment Analyst to support the USTRANSCOM Mission Assurance (MA) Team. This team synchronizes risk management across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE) to provide actionable risk information to senior decision makers. The analyst will contribute to operations in the information environment (OIE), mission decomposition, risk-to-mission/force assessments, continuity planning, emergency management, policy and governance reviews, mission assurance assessments, and integration of cyber risk across MA activities.

Location: Scott Air Force Base, IL (and/or designated C5T offices; limited telework may be available based on mission need).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support USTRANSCOM Operations in the Information Environment (OIE); collaborate with OIE community SMEs to analyze information relevant to USTRANSCOM roles and responsibilities in the Unified Command Plan and Commander priorities.
  • Maintain a working understanding of OIE requirements as they apply to USTRANSCOM's global mission and implications for the broader Department of Defense.
  • Identify critical information and indicators; recommend Operations Security (OPSEC) countermeasures aligned to mission needs.
  • Research, gather, and analyze data from multiple sources to assess risks to mission and force; synthesize findings into clear, actionable insights.
  • Contribute to mission decomposition, continuity of operations (COOP) planning, emergency management activities, and mission assurance assessments.
  • Integrate cyber risk perspectives into MA processes and products, coordinating with stakeholders across staffs and components.
  • Prepare and deliver briefings, reports, and decision-quality products for senior leaders; document work in accordance with policy and security requirements.
  • Provide continuous process and program improvement recommendations as opportunities are identified.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one (U.S. government security investigation required).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Four (4)+ years of direct mission assurance experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional time-management and task-prioritization skills; ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience coordinating issues across multiple military services and Combatant Command staffs.
  • Experience at USTRANSCOM or its Component Commands.
  • Demonstrated confidence drafting and briefing analysis for senior executives (e.g., General Officers).
