Job Description
Position: Head of Fulfillment
Job Summary: The Head of Fulfillment is primarily responsible for executing the daily operating plan and managing fulfillment center processes. This position will drive processing, efficiency and accuracy through exceptional leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve on the Pharma Logistics leadership team, helping define company strategy and goals.
• Set and execute operational goals, business plans, and budgets for the fulfillment center.
• Develop long-term strategies for capital equipment planning, procurement, and implementation.
• Oversee pharmaceutical return processes, vendor agreements, and system operations to ensure optimal service delivery.
• Implement operational controls to monitor and improve KPIs/OKRs and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Ensure procedures are in place for shipping, receiving, and pharmaceutical handling that meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
• Manage labor planning based on sales forecasts and historical data.
• Lead P&L oversight and ensure fulfillment operations are fiscally sound.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Collaborate with HR on employee relations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and external regulations (e.g., EPA, DEA, OSHA, VAWD).
• Analyze and report key metrics to support timely, data-driven decisions.
• Oversee vendor contracts and ensure compliance with service standards.
• Maintain facility safety and maintenance standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of senior leadership experience in operations or fulfillment.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage high-performing teams.
• Strong experience managing budgets and P&Ls.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, EPA, FDA); certifications preferred.
• Ability to manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Experience or strong interest in process improvement and Lean/Six Sigma tools.
Compensation Range and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $185,000.00-210,000.00 USD annually. Actual salary may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, Pharma Logistics’ business and organizational needs, as well as an individual’s relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, seniority, geographic location, and/or performance.
