Job Description
Essential Functions- Under administrative direction, serves as a Mainframe Security Administrator – Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) performing complex professional and advisory functions related to Mainframe Systems Security, Resource Access Control Facility (RACF) Software, exercising substantial creativity and originality to reach the final objective.
- Conducts and coordinates in-depth studies involving substantial technical research and systems analysis.
- Performs advanced problem diagnostics of complex operating systems and problems.
- Serves as project coordinator for full-range complex projects, very large hardware/software deployments and installations, documentation, testing, and implementation of complex vendor supplied software systems across multiple agencies and locations
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
- Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
- Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Systems Services or a related Information Technology field.
